I was taking drum lessons with Rob last year and a little bit the year before that. He always was the person that could teach me things the best. I could understand how he explained things and he would give me pages of exercises to take home so I could practice and make sure I understood the topic. In the time I took lessons with him, I learned more than I did from any drum teacher. We even got into more crazier styles like Afro-Cuban beats and up-tempo swing. It was always something interesting. I mean it when I say that he was the best teacher I’ve had 🙂
